 Beach Park shares their recreational services
with Zion and Waukegan. Illinois Beach State
Park, located along Lake Michigan, forms the
community's eastern boundary and has
considerable impact on the character of the
community.
In 2004, Beach Park opened its first Village
park.
Located off Holdridge Avenue behind Howe School,
the new Geo-Karis Park
is host to many different activities including trips for
seniors, senior picnics, senior holiday
parties and the "Luck O' Irish" Dinner party. For the
youths in the community, the village sponsors a number
of events including the annual Egg Hunt,
holiday parties and the Ghost Walk.
Beach Park Parks Foundation
The Foundation's mission is to raise money for
the park, and is recognized by the State of
Illinois as a not for profit organization. The
members include Richard Gust, Mary Lou Gust,
Laurie Cvengros and John Clark.
